How The “Best Lawyers” Are Selected
The Best Attorneys Network recognizes some of
the most distinguished lawyers in the country. Unlike similar accolades
which are bestowed based solely upon peer survey results, The Best
Attorneys Network is the only directory
which also considers input from clients and other lay people who
may be familiar with an lawyer's abilities. Thousands of lawyers
and other legal professionals are surveyed and their recommendations
are given weighted consideration. However, clients and other people
familiar with particular lawyers are encouraged to vote for current
honorees and/or nominate deserving “best lawyer”
candidates. Only those lawyers most often recommended by peers and
most often voted for online are chosen for this distinction. This
formula allows deserving lawyers to be recognized when professional
jealousy or competitive zeal might otherwise leave them ignored.
Inclusion is considered a high honor, with less than 5% of all lawyers
being awarded this distinction.
Additionally, to ensure the integrity of this directory this honor
is awarded on an annual basis. There are no guarantees that any
current “best lawyer” will be selected
the following year. An honoree must “qualify” each year,
based upon our formula of peer reviews and online votes.
There is NEVER a fee or obligation of any kind for inclusion in
The Best Attorneys Network. A lawyer cannot buy
the distinction of being considered a “Best Lawyer”.
